SPONSORSHIP PROGRAMS

On December 27, 2001, the Internal Revenue Service graciously recognized the Foundation for the Orphanage of the Virgin of Guadalupe (FOVG) as a tax-exempt, public sponsored organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.  Thus, all contributions you graciously donate to FOVG are tax deductible.

Orphanage Sponsorship Program.  Beginning in 2001 a program was instituted to sponsor a child now residing in the Orphanage of the Virgin of Guadalupe, Philippine Islands.  This is your chance to reach out to children that desperately need your help.  Currently there are 32 children living and being cared for at the Orphanage.

In the Philippines, your sponsorship dollars will be used to help continue programs that improve the health, education, and economic opportunities of the orphanage children.  Adolescents will be taught "life skills".  Each child is given formal schooling, from pre-school through college.  Their medical and dental needs are taken care of.  Each child participates in communal projects and is taught to interact with their piers.

Child sponsorship is a ministry that promotes individual relationships between the donor and one child through photos and correspondence.  By facilitating the relational bond between child and sponsor, the Foundation for the Orphanage of the Virgin of Guadalupe (FOVG) aims to support "two-way" transformation among donors and the children of the Orphanage of the Virgin of Guadalupe.

How can I transform a child's life?  Regular medical care, a secure food supply, access to education.....simple gifts like these can revolutionize a child's life.  When you partner with FOVG by sponsoring a child for a minimun of $20.00 a month (tax deductible), you become an agent of transformation for that child.

To sponsor a child is quide simple.  Simply contact us at fovg@wavecable.com  A sponsorship package will be forwarded to you.  Each month after your initial donation has been received, you will receive an FOVG sponsorship statement, which we hope will be conveniently helpful in keeping you informed about your pledge status.

SMAHE Sponsorhip Program.  Beginning in 2003, a decision was made to institute a program to sponsor young men and women who want to become priests and nuns, but because of poverty, could hardly pay for their education.  These seminarians and novices belong to the semi-contemplative twin religious order called Sons (and Sisters) of Mary Adorers of the Holy Eucharist (SMAHE).  Currently there are over 80 seminarians and novices who desperately need your help to fulfill their dreams to humbly serve God.  When you help a seminarian or novice we become partners who become co-responsible agents of his or her priestly transformation.

The minimum sponsorship for one seminarian (or one novice) is $100.00 a month only.  Although $100.00 does not pay for all their lodging, food, and other related expenses, it helps defray those costs and will change your life as much as theirs.
